Let’s start with this Mac satin lipstick in the color Media. I love switching up lip colors for fall and I feel like you should always have a deeper shade on hand for when you’re feeling all fall-esque and romantical. The thing I love most about this lipstick is its satin finish. It slides on nicely, stays put with intense color, and feels moisturizing. It’s described as a reddish-purple. I would say it’s a deep berry and borderline vampy. I like to pair it with a neutral eye- lots of mascara and I can’t live without black liquid liner on my top lash line. I’ve tried. I get a lot of, “you look tired” blah, blah, blah. Add this to your fall lineup for a fresh new take on a darker lip. I swear you’ll look wide-awake. 😉
I picked up this Kate Spade stapler and a few other matching desk accessories this summer while I was in Boston. I obviously love the gold detail, but I also like how versatile it is on my desk. I don’t have a lot of storage space so it always sits out on display and matches pretty much anything else I decide to add for décor or functionality purposes. Kate Spade always adorns their merchandise with cheeky little sayings. On top of the stapler it says, “keep it together,” which is usually what I’m thinking when stapling together a conference paper or graduate essay. My next thought is probably, Jesus take the wheel – grad school is all sorts of intense, ya know?
I love, love Deborah Lippmann nail colors. They have such a beautiful finish and end up lasting a little bit longer than a few other choices on the market. The color I’m currently swooning for is called Dark Side of the Moon. It’s the perfect fall/winter hue and the color is very similar to Mac’s lipstick in Media- dark berry-red. I guess I have a little theme going on here. Aside from aesthetics, this polish is formulated without a lot of the nasty chemicals you get with other brands. What it does NOT have – parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde (ew, seriously?!) toluene, DBP or camphor. Until recently, I didn’t even know these were common nail polish ingredients. Sneaky and gross.
This pillow though . . . it’s so fluffy I’m gonna die! (that’s a Despicable Me reference for those of you who don’t watch PG movies on the reg) Seriously, it’s the softest thing ever and looks so cozy and inviting with my new bed set from West Elm. I paired it with their pintuck duvet cover, matching euro shams, and a new sateen sheet set all in white. Chic, right? I have been on a white kick lately. It feels like clarity and simplicity to me. It eliminates having to make decisions about what matches what- something that gives me real anxiety as a Libra. Decision-making is not my forte and takes way longer than it ever should, that’s why I’m so happy I actually decided on an entire cohesive set. The pillow serves as a statement piece, and I just want to squeeze it every time I walk in the room. Plus, it was 40% off! Win. Win.
I’ve been looking for a marble pastry slab for a while now and kept coming back to this one from Williams-Sonoma. I finally ordered it and I love it! All of the other ones I found weren’t the right shape, or they had some embellishment on them that I wasn’t into. I’m not going to lie, I probably won’t use this much for its intended purpose, although I did nail down an impressive sugar cookie recipe last Christmas. It makes a great backdrop for blog photos and I love how it brightens up my kitchen. It’s also good for entertaining. I guess I use it a lot, just in different ways!
I have been lusting over this Gucci loafer, so naturally I did my favorite thing to do and found them way cheaper here. Steve Madden is always my go to when I’m looking for quality shoes at a good price point. These ones are super comfortable, well made, and so versatile. I wear them with shorts, jeans, or dresses and they can be casual or dressed up. Of course I love the gold detail, and they come in 2 other neutral colors as well. They are easy and fun to wear!
I hope these favorites give you some fall inspo, chat soon!
